The Divi Filterable Portfolio module lets you show posts in a grid layout, and then filter the results using category filter buttons displayed horizontally above the posts. When you first open a page with the filterable portfolio module, The “All” filter button is active which shows all of the posts by default. There might be times you want to link to this page so that one of the categories is active by default. With the Portfolio Posts Pro plugin, this is as easy as adding the category to the URL.

Add the filter category to the URL in this format:

Replace with your URL and filter category name. If the category name has more than one word, separate each word with a dash.

You can see this in action here:

Portfolio Post Pro doesn’t just make it easy to activate a filter category by default. It adds lots of other features too, including the ability to load custom post types in a filterable portfolio layout.
